It’s been summer vacation time, and also the week of Carnival, so a lot of people have had time to relax and enjoy themselves. Part of summer fun is going to the river. We were down there a couple days ago and found a lot of people having a good time!. Apparently, with the young men, jumping from trees into the water is a favorite past time. (Many of these photos were taken by Joel)
Some very interesting little lizards were also enjoying the day.
These lizards had long legs and could run on their back legs, and could even run in the water!

But, the jumping and diving continued without any disasters

Have you lived in this area? or have you just learned all sorts of interesting things? Now I want to go back during the week when it’s quieter and see if I can observe the lizards more closely.
