Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss

Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss

I didn’t know what I was going to do for this one until we were eating breakfast outdoors, watching the hummingbirds, and this pair gave us the perfect photo op. Usually the hummingbirds are busy chattering at each other and chasing each other away from the feeder. It was unusual to see a pair like this. They spent quite a bit of time on the fence together, and then they flew around the feeder together in a show of happiness. Finally they settled down to get a bit to eat. Thank you hummingbirds  for giving me just what I needed for this week’s photo challenge, and than you Joel for taking the great photos of the pair on the fence.

  1. Beautiful! I was really hoping to come across a new kiss to photograph for this challenge, but had to use a classic instead.

  2. Love the hummingbirds! You are fast at capturing them. They buzz away before I can get a photo. We’ve had bees coming to the hummingbird feeder, so I had to take one of the feeders down. (The one that they can fit their little bee tongues into to get the sugar water.) The other feeder is too small for them to access the sugar water, but it appears to be just the right size for the hummingbirds. 🙂

I know what you mean! I put it on fast shutter speed and take a lot of pics, and figure at least a few will be worth saving. Your bees reminds me of a beekeeper who couldn’t figure out how his bees were making pink honey, a very odd thing. He finally discovered that they were into the neighbor’s hummingbird feeder which was stocked with pink syrup!
