Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside
The instructions are: This week, share what you see on the inside. It could be something literally inside, like these birds in the rebar or the inside of your home or favorite hideaway. If you’d like, go in a personal direction — share a photo of your best friend laughing, showing how she feels on the inside, or an arresting shot of your son’s blue eyes (windows to the soul, dontcha know).
I found some gecko eggs inside a window and put them in this plastic dish. Yesterday morning I discovered that a baby was inside the dish, but no longer inside the egg! When I went to touch him he jumped out of the dish, off the table, and ran across the patio. He’s certainly full of life and I wish him well in his journeys.
There is a house under construction in the neighborhood, so today I went inside to look around and take some photos. This is typical Panamanian block construction. It looks like it will be a very nice house when it’s finished.

Kris, I think I’ve asked you this before, but what kind of camera do you have? I’m looking for a new SLR digital camera that is fast and takes wonderful close-ups like you take.

I know people have asked, but I can’t remember if it was you or not. I have a Nikkon D5000 with two lenses. One is a 18-200 mm which is very versatile, and the other is a 80 mm macro lens which takes the closeups of little things. We also have a Panasonic HDC-TM90. It’s a HD video camera but also takes very good stills and closeups. It also has a great zoom feature. It’s small and easy to hold so we use it a lot.

Thanks, Kris. I was looking at the new Nikon D5200 and the Nikon Coolpix P7100. I might go with the Nikon Coolpix P7100 because I don’t have to buy separate lenses for it. The lenses are almost as much as the camera.

Oh yes, the lenses are expensive! And, with my two lenses it’s bulky as well as very costly if something should happen to it. That’s why we end up taking the little Panasonic so much. I can toss it in my purse or the carry bag on my bicycle much more easily.
