Washington Mountains

Yesterday we decided to take a drive into the Washington mountains east of Seattle, an area I hadn’t seen before. It was fun going out together and this part of the country is really beautiful. We were lucky that the day was a bit cloudy and foggy but we had almost no rain, and the roads were clear at the higher elevations.

Long awaited visits always seem too short when they finally happen, but today it is time to travel on to California. I am already looking forward to a return visit to Washington this summer!

Hi Kris, You should have just kept on coming all the way to Yakima and paid use a visit! Not much snow this year (yet). The falls are usually pretty much frozen over at this time of the year. Hope to meet you next time we come to Panama.

    • Never say never. I am surprised at how many of my blog followers live in this area. Maybe on a summer visit when I have more time I will be able to catch up with some of you all 🙂 See you in Panama!

  2. The mountains east of Seattle are called the Cascades. To the west on the other side of Puget sound there are more mountains on the Olympic Peninsula, called the Olympics.
