A Good Deal on Seagull Cove Lodge

Boca Chica is my favorite place on the water in Chiriqui, and Seagull Cove Lodge is my favorite resort in Boca Chica. Today the Ofertasimple folks came out with a deal I had to share with you all.

http://ofertasimple.com/ofertas/panama/seagullcove-resort-boca-chica-chiriqui-coctel-bienvenida-kayak-bungalow-deluxe-vista-mar-2may17-e   $89 (normally $191) for a bungalow, welcome cocktail, 2 hours of kayaking, and discounts on a sunset cruise and/or a relaxing massage.

I have written about the resort in the past HERE. It’s a very special place with only six lovely bungalows, all with wonderful views of the water and islands beyond. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is an excellent restaurant on site. There is a small beach area and sitting area for hanging out and relaxing, and a dock to a cute tiki bar where they serve grilled food and drinks on weekend evenings. You can get a water taxi to Boca Brava if you want to check out that restaurant or go looking for howler monkeys, or you can hire a boat for a tour around the islands.

(Caution – the resort is built on the hillside so if you have trouble climbing up and down stairs this might not be the place for you. )

I have written other posts about visits to the area HERE (the ride down to Boca Chica), and HERE (Boca Brava and monkeys), and HERE (includes a boat tour of the area), and HERE (our recent day at Isla Seca, one of the nearby islands)

You can use the offer from May 9th through August 9th. If you want a beautiful little getaway, or want to include it as part of a vacation or exploratory tour in Panama, here you go. It’s a unique and special place.

Rain, rain, rain today in Boquete. We both love Boca Chica as it reminds us a lot of our stay for 12 years in Saint Lucia (Caribbean). However in this seasons watch the weather on satellite weather forecast

    • We’re getting a lot of rain down here too. You can almost always count on mornings being clear though, and bring a good book for those rainy afternoons.

  3. Unfortunately I will have to pass on this awesome offer Kris. You sure know how to hurt a guy. Spring here in my part of Canada, London Ontario, continues to hang out in the near freezing point. Oh it’s finally greening up, but Saturday the high will be a mere 38 degrees.
I keep advancing my leaving date for next year.
I can handle the rain, if it’s at least warm!
Enjoy your trip to the Pacific Northwest.

      Nick,
I used to live in the desert part of Colorado,(really missed the rain) one of the most enjoyable parts of my last trip to Panama, was grabbing a cold Panama beer, Lawn chair, and going out on the lawn and drinking the beer in the warm rain… Their “off seasom” has some great advantages most people don’t think about. Truly loved the experience.

    • Maybe they will offer another deal while you are here. Or, it’s a good day trip also. Meanwhile I’m glad to hear things are getting green, and lets hope the temperatures rise soon too!

    • Do you live in the area? I remember quite a few of the neighbors came over in their boats to enjoy the Tiki Bar

        • I had to look that up, hadn’t heard about that area before. The photos look beautiful. Thanks for the invite! We will be just returning from the US at that time so probably not running around much, but I’m sure we’ll cross paths at some point 🙂

    • That would be totally cool! It would be an experience for your son too. Start in Panama City, see the canal and the important sights, come to Chiriqui for some time by the water, more interesting times in the mountains…. yes indeed, something to think about. And, you already have a friend here 🙂

    • David is great because everything you need is here, but it’s a easy trip to a number of beautiful beach and water areas, and in the other direction the mountains aren’t far. We pretty much have it all!

  7. Kris is right, fabulous boutique hotel!
If you choose to stay at Sea Gull Cove Lodge we recommend a day trip to Isla Gamez (or the other beautiful nearby islands in the golfo de Chiriquí).
