One night my neighbor called me out. They had found this crab in the middle of the street. We weren’t sure if it was OK so I got a shovel to move it to a safer place. When I touched it with the shovel it scampered off into the grass. Just a few days ago a friend posted a picture of another crab like this one that she saw where she lives on the other side of town. My neighbors said they had never seen a crab that wasn’t close to water, so who knows what is up with this.
