We were told that ships can only go one direction through the Culebra Cut because it is too narrow, so from midnight to noon they go north, and from noon to midnight they go south. Since it was now past noon we started seeing ships passing us in the other direction. This is the Northern Dancer, a cargo ship of Gibraltar.
