I never could figure out why police and emergency vehicles often drive with their flashing lights on. For quite a while we thought we were being pulled over, but they just drive right on by. Now we have learned to not be so concerned.

Hola Kris, a couple of reasons for the lights, they don’t want to get stuck in traffic so the just turn the lights on and hope everyone pulls over. The result is that when they are on a call, NO ONE pulls over for them. Second, they get in trouble if they ding the vehicle so they want to be seen regardless of how badly they drive. I have a brother-in-law who used to be a driver and this was his explanation when I asked.
