We’ve been walking in the neighborhood and enjoying some really nice weather. There are also so many beautiful flowers! I’ve taken quite a few photos but my favorites have been the roses, as you can see from my collection below.
These photos are pretty much untouched, a bit of cropping and I brightened a couple slightly that were taken in the shade. I didn’t want to travel with my big Nikon so these were taken with our little Panasonic HDC-TM90. The banner photo is some of the blooming blackberry bushes that are all over the area, and the honey bees are having a wonderful time with them.
Saturday we head back to Panama and I’ll be back to posting more Panama adventures. It will be good to be home but of course I have some mixed feelings. Being with my daughter as a new mom and meeting my new grandson has been wonderful. We’ll be back again though!
Some stunning photos there, keep up the great work!

I have been enjoying following your posts. I would like to go to Panama for two to three months to test the waters. I don’t think I want to live there, just go for extended periods. I am retired, so have that flexibility. I decided to respond to you because I live in California (San Diego area). What area are you visiting? When you posted your grandson’s picture I made my 33-year-old son look at him stating ” this is the grandson of my new friend in Panama.” My friends and family think I am crazy for wanting to go to Panama, but I think it is perfectly sane. The lushness of the area appeals to me and we just don’t have that in my inland area of Ramona. Enjoy your visit in California and have a safe trip back. Your grandson is beautiful. Jacky

Hi Jacky! I’m in Santa Rosa up in the wine country.
You are not crazy for wanting to go to Panama. It’s a beautiful country with lovely people. Some people thought we were crazy too, but not everyone likes the same things. It seems to me you should at least check it out.
Thanks for the good wishes and good words about the baby 🙂

Gorgeous pics once again. When I read about you wanting to be with your grandson and yet wanting to be home the song “Torn Between Two Lovers” pinged into my head….:)
Safe journey’s to you and Joel!

Thank you!
With family and friends in many locations, you just can’t be with everyone but I’m thankful for airline tickets and internet. At least we can stay in close touch.

Gorgeous roses – and, thank you very much for the follow. It’s been interesting to read about your expat life in Panama here. Something we think about from time to time, but…well anyway, not yet!
