The Retirement and Good Living website asked me to write an article about retirement in Panama, so I did. It’s published at http://retirementandgoodliving.com/retiring-in-panama/ They even used some of my photos 🙂

Excellent article, when are you starting your “Guide to Retirement” book?

Thank you! Others have mentioned that I should do that too. But, I think I’d have to be here quite a bit longer and learn a lot more. And, the biggest obstacle is it sounds like work, I’m not in the mood to work, and may never be again! 😀

No problem. Your reasons for choosing Panama are very similar to ours and there is a lot of valuable information in this article so thought I would share the info with others! Sorry we missed you in July. We are coming again in December – maybe we should try to get together then?

We will probably be in Panama City for a few days in the middle of the month, but otherwise we’ll be around so sure, just let us know.

Kris, I have a question. Simone asked me to write an article about Nicaragua, too. But, I can’t post a word document into that box on the website. Is there another way? Plus, I want to include enlarged pictures. I’m not sure how to do it. Did you just send her an attached article or did you post it directly onto the website?

If I remember, there is a button below that box for uploading a word document file. If that doesn’t work, you could probably just email it to Simone. As for pictures, I emailed them to her and she also requested a short description of each.
Let me know when your article is up!

Hi Kris – Wanted to ask about how things are in David. I know some parts of the country lose electricity regularly during the wet season. How does it compare in David?

Our electricity has been very reliable. We had a heck of a storm last weekend and the power only flickered a few times. I think the power has been out maybe two or three times for a few hours in the last year, and one of those times is when the whole country went down for an afternoon. Our internet has also been equally reliable. Our water though… not so consistent but with water on hand, that isn’t nearly as much of a problem as electricity would be.
