At Boquete Tree Trek, they have put a lot of effort into making the grounds beautiful. Not far from our cabin was a little stream where flowers had been planted and there were walkways that made it easy to wander and enjoy the scenery.

Oh yes, I know what you mean. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos, and thanks for confirming that those are calla lilies. I wasn’t sure so didn’t want to label them.

We were just commenting yesterday that there are so many heliconias here but we’ve never seen a true Bird of Paradise. Funny when they are from the same family.
Lovely pics once again Kris!

You’re right, I haven’t either. There were many in Florida, but not here.

Love the pictures Kris, you did a great job taking them. I love Heliconias, I have a lot at home in my garden, but not like the ones you photographed with the yellow. I can’t wait to go visit there someday when we finally live in Panama.

There is a place in Volcan that raises Heliconias and has a sale every year. http://www.heliconiagarden.com/ventas/ I haven’t gone because I’m afraid I would get in SO much trouble and buy everything! Heliconias are my favorite flower too, and this is a great place to grow them.
