Since my “office” is on the patio I am often visited by various insects and spiders. I keep my camera and macro lens within grabbing distance in case I am inspired to point it at something. These are a few of the tiny spiders who have visited me recently.
Sometimes you can’t see how beautiful they are until you see the enlarged photo.
I wasn’t sure what this was at first, just some little thing waiving its legs around. This is the power cord to my computer, to give you a sense of scale.
Now he is on the table in front of my computer, still waving the front legs.
cute little thing, eh?
Now he is in front of my mouse pad, still waving a leg.
I didn’t know how cool this one was either until I downloaded and enlarged the photos.
He almost looks like he has four eyes!
Pretty little spider.
This is the last of the bug and spider photos, for now. With all the insect life around here I am sure there will be more.

I didn’t touch them, and even if I did they are so tiny I can’t imagine they could do any damage. They are so small you can’t see any detail with the naked eye (at least not with my eyes) but with the macro lens, a new world is revealed. That is really fun.

Aren’t they though! 🙂

Amazing little creatures and you captured them so well! The ones with the legs waving I would think it is an aggressive positive showing his might against enemies. Well done!

Thanks!
I thought maybe he was testing for breezes so he could float off and start a web? Who knows. He couldn’t threaten much with his tiny size but maybe that’s why he thinks he has to look fierce!

Oops, I meant “posture” but I guess you understood, lol! That is a good point about testing the wind.

I think it is very likely related to mating.

Oh? Maybe so. He wasn’t having any luck with that though. The only other spider in sight was the golden one who apparently wasn’t interesting enough to pay attention to.

Wow! I bet sometimes you just can’t wait to enlarge the pictures! I feel like that little one was just waving “hi” and he’s probably sad now because you didn’t wave back :). Haha! Great pictures, love the little waver!!

I am usually surprised when I see the pictures, that there was so much more than what I saw just with my eyes.
