Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

The instructions are: Share a picture of CURVES and explain why you chose that picture!

I’m sitting at my desk wondering where to go with this, looking at the lamp, and the spider web….  There is this tiny spider that has taken a liking to our desk lamp. It builds a web between the lamp base, the shade, and my husband’s pencil holder. They are positioned in such a way that the web is not flat, but twisted into interesting curves. Then, the individual strands of the web also make interesting curves. The web is fairly small and delicate so I used my macro lens.

This morning the whole  spiderweb is looking pretty tattered, so I expect the little spider will take it down and build a new one soon.

Thanks for posting a link to my piece under “related articles”. Yes, it is certainly related to yours, which is all about “noticing”!
I would like to link your post to mine this way. Either I find a “how to” or . . . if it’s easy enough to explain, might you let me know?

I used a program called Zemanta – http://www.zemanta.com/ I looks for related content and photos so you can include them in your blog if you wish. But, you never know what it will bring up.

If you want to include a link anywhere in your blog, Copy the link by highlighting and right clicking on it. Write the word or text that will become the link. Highlight that and go to the thing above that looks like a link of a chain. A window will pop up where you can right click and paste in the link (or write it in if you prefer). As far as I know though, only Zemanta puts the things at the bottom with the nice little pictures.

Yes, the nice little pictures–that’s what I was hoping for–the way you posted yours. Thank you so much. . . I will experiment and see.

Sometimes it’s fun because it takes you to blogs you wouldn’t have seen otherwise, like yours and the watermelon photos, and that good one of the iron furniture with the palm fronds behind it.

You are right–I’m exploring Zemanta now, thanks to you, and seeing the possibilities. It seems to respond to the tags we attach to our posts. However, even after feeding it your tags, I couldn’t trigger it to find your such-a-beauty spiderweb post!

I think it mainly responds to the text in your post. It brings up things for me before I’ve added any tags. But, it will just get random links, like in this case whatever it finds that matches the photo challenge. On some other things I’ve had it bring up some pretty crazy things that have little to do with what I was writing. I mostly just use it for photo challenges though. It’s interesting to see what others post for the same challenge.
