This week, in a post created specifically for this challenge, show us community, and interpret it any way you please!
Catching up here… I’m a couple photo challenges behind. I’ve been busier doing things rather than photographing them but along the way, I have taken a few of the Panamanian people and community that has welcomed me this holiday season.
Yaira’s guy (red shirt) and other assorted cousins. The lady in the multicolored shirt on the right is a teacher in the Comarca
Panamanians seem to love having photos taken. Every time I pointed my camera at anyone they would smile and pose for me. The baby’s paternal grandparents are the lady in the rose colored blouse and the guy sitting behind her.
You would think with all the photos I took I could get a good one of Yaira, my teacher, but when I looked through this is pretty much the only one. She is the lovely lady in front in the green shirt.
They had a house full, and this wasn’t even all the family! By now it was maybe 1:30 AM and everyone was still quite wide awake.
Outdoors, watching all the fireworks in the neighborhood.
Waiting for Santa Clause (Niño de Dios) My friend Hydeé, Joel, her daughter and son.

We love seeing all your pictures and reading all of your advice about living in Panama. Our family of 5 is presently living in Mexico but are seriously considering spending several months around David this coming fall. It has been particularly interesting to compare your holiday posts with our experience here with Las Posadas and other celebrations 🙂
