Weekly Photo Challenge: Spring – For this week’s challenge, share a photo which describes what spring means to you.
Panama has two seasons, dry and rainy, so we don’t have spring. But we are currently coming out of the dry season and the rains are beginning again, so there is a new season to talk about.
With the return of the rains come new bugs. Right now it seems like “bug of the day” time. After the first good rain we had tons of little flying bugs. If they got inside they’d would land on the countertop or floor and just die. I visited one of the neighbors the next day and she had dead bugs all over her patio floor. After that night we didn’t see them again.
Then, a few days ago, we had black flying bugs. One of them was nice enough to land in my glass of Costa Rican money.
The next evening we were visited by these other interesting bugs. My friend said they bite very hard. Thankfully I have no first hand knowledge of this. But again, everyone seemed to have been visited by these on the same night and dead ones were on everyone’s terraces the next day.
The next night it was thee invasion of the June bugs.
But, if this a post about the rainy season, there must also be photos of rain!
This is the first post written on my new iPad (thank you Joel!) it is so light and easy to travel with, and I’m learning my way around and liking it more every day. But there may be a few things I haven’t quite figured out so ignore any quirks.
Glad the ipad is working out for you, the post looks very nice! Miss you!

Looks good! I have a hard time with getting my photos to align as I want them too when I use the iPad app. I probably need to read about techniques to use. 🙂
Ugh! Bugs. The thing I can’t stand about spring and summer. I guess this makes me grateful that I don’t have crazy bug a day, but down south the Palmetto bugs, waterbugs, tree roaches (whatever name they are currently going by) are rampant and disgusting no matter how much you clean or spray for those critters. 😦

Thanks 🙂 I had trouble making galleries so I ended up doing the finishing touches just in a browser and that seemed to work out. Palmetto bugs? we had them in Florida. Yuck! They are especially fun when they fly across the room at you…. Not

The misses got a mini I-Pad for Christmas and she loves it. It was actually to replace her I-Pod but we use it anytime we are out with the free wi fi that is so ever prevalent in the States.

I thought about a mini but thought a bigger screen might work better for me. Free WiFi is a nice thing! I also got a SIM card and data plan so I think I’m pretty up town 😀

As promised my critique. It came out great, the colors are very vibrant on the purple and the orange pictures. You’ll have this figured out in no time!

Gracias Amiga 🙂 I actually edited these photos on my PC, transferred them to the iPad by Google drive and wrote the post on the iPad. Today’s photos will be edited on the iPad though, so we shall see how that goes. We went to such a beautiful place today I’m looking forward to going through the photos!
