The river behind our neighborhood is one of my favorite places, but sometimes I don’t go there as often as I should. That’s the nice thing about house guests. As you show them interesting things you get to visit your favorite places yourself!
The river is always beautiful but it changes with the seasons, and with who is there at the moment, the time of day, the weather conditions…. that is my excuse for taking a million photos. Yesterday’s photos don’t work for today because it is different in this moment.
I have to post river photos once in a while even though you all have already seen it quite a few times. We are so fortunate to have this literally in our backyard. It is only a short walk down there, and so close that we can hear the water from the house.
Lovely shots =)

Gorgeous, Kris. I miss living by a river. Did those guys have fishing poles? Are fishing poles common?

I’ve seen guys with really long, slender bamboo poles, like 10-15 feet. I don’t know how they avoid getting them tangled in everything on the way to the river. I have also seen more modern, regular fishing poles. I haven’t seen this spear fishing thing before though. Not too many people fish in this river so I’m not sure what is the most common.

Silver ones. 😀 seriously, I don’t know anything about the fish in the river or much about fish in general. I have seen people pulling out small silver ones less than a foot long. This is the first time I’ve seen fish as big as the ones that guy had.

You may not have a river, but you have one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve seen! We fell in love with that warm, gentle water and the beauty, and the sunsets.

Thanks 🙂 I don’t know. It’s of course less than when it is raining, but I don’t remember how it compares to last year.
