More Beach Pictures

Last weekend we visited our friends at Las Olas, which is at Playa La Barqueta about 40 minutes southwest of David. There was a beautiful sunset in the evening  (some photos are on my last blog post). The next morning was also very nice so we went walking on the beach, and later played in the waves with the boogie boards (great fun!!)

We were lucky to have such a nice weekend. The weather was perfect and the surf was fun, not crazy and dangerous like it is sometimes. There were more people than I’d ever seen but it’s summer, a weekend, and there are more people in the area because of the Feria in David.

We’re in such a good spot in David. We can get to both the mountains and the beach in a fairly short time. And, best of all, we have really nice friends to spend time with when we go!

We’ve stayed at the resort twice and enjoyed walking on the beach & the sunsets. Have they improved the road to La Barqueta. Last September the road was full of potholes.

Hola Kris. Started conversational Spanish II. Our first professora was from Costa Rica. This one is from Puerto Rico. Fun! I get to do a presentation on Panama this Abril 7th. Fantastico. Curious…no necesario…but what area of David do you live in? i.e norte o oeste? Just trying to figure out desirable neighborhoods….? Gracious for your blog. David.

    • Hola! Que bueno. Vivimos cinco minutos en coche al norte de la Carretera Panamericana. Creo que el norte es mejor que el sur, en general pero hay muchos lugares buenos.
We live about 5 minutes drive north of the big shopping area on the PanAmerican highway. The north part of town is generally considered better than the south part, but there are good areas everywhere.
